About Me

Hi! My name is Aubrey and I’m a perfume enthusiast based in Seattle, Washington.

I fell in love with perfume nearly a decade ago, after reading Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez’s Big Book of Perfumes and becoming enamored with the confounding challenge of putting words to scents. Since then, I’ve built my own personal library of perfume samples, perfume materials, and books about scent. I love to learn as much as I can about all things olfactory, and have taken perfume-making classes and intensives at the Institute for Art and Olfaction and learned from Mandy Aftel.

I co-created Ex Libris Odoratis with Noele Lusano. I host scent events here in Seattle, do some freelance writing and editing for fragrance brands, and curate personalized perfume fitting sets for special occasions.

I earned my BFA in Writing from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2013 before moving to Seattle, where I’ve made my home for the past ten years. By day, I manage creative production and brand visual identities in the healthcare industry, and I have also worked as a digital marketer in the literary/arts nonprofit and events industries.

When I’m not working, writing, or smelling perfumes, you’ll probably find me reading a novel, playing video games, or hanging out with my husband and our dog here in the PNW.
